Weight and balance
Every flight starts with loading the aircraft within its envelope. The club keeps current weight-and-balance data for each aircraft available to members.
Night and reduced-visibility flying
Maintaining visual references and sound judgment in marginal conditions is a recurring safety theme, especially over the dark water and quiet interior of Southwest Florida.
Safe taxi and airport operations
KAPF is a busy, towered field surrounded by neighborhoods. Careful taxi, radio discipline, and noise-abatement habits keep operations safe and neighborly.
Volunteer-run
Led by its members
The club is run by a small, volunteer board of member-owners who look after the aircraft, safety, finances, and day-to-day operations. They are pilots first - glad to share what they know and to help new and prospective members get started.
