Flying at Naples (KAPF)
Our home field sits on the edge of the Gulf coast, with some of Florida's best scenery a few minutes off the runway.
Naples Airport (KAPF) is the club's home field, on the edge of the Gulf coast. It is a busy, towered general-aviation airport surrounded by residential neighborhoods, so good preflight planning and neighborly flying habits are part of every flight in and out.
Noise abatement
Naples Flying Club fully supports the Naples Airport noise-abatement initiative. KAPF sits among residential areas, and pilots are asked to fly the current published procedures - preferred runways, recommended routings, and noise-conscious habits. What membership really gets you
Naples sits at the corner of the Gulf and the Everglades, so a tank of fuel and an afternoon put some of the best low-altitude scenery in Florida within easy reach. Here is what is out the window once you join.
Marco and the barrier islands
Just south of the field, a string of undeveloped sand spits and mangrove passes sits only minutes off the runway - a favorite first destination.
The Everglades
Turn inland and the coast gives way to the sawgrass-and-tree-island mosaic of the Everglades, a quiet reminder of how wild this corner of Florida still is.
Real trips, not just laps
The aircraft are practical for real travel: plan a route up the coast, file a flight plan, and make a weekend of it.
